Empowering Theatre Makers
I design and lead practical directing workshops inspired by practitioners like Katie Mitchell, alongside sessions on mounting your own fringe work in London.
After completing my MA in Theatre Directing at Mountview Academy, I searched for classes that would help me deepen my craft but struggled to find options that spoke to my needs. These workshops are my response to that gap: spaces of rigour, generosity, and practical guidance.
What I Offer
Many training spaces offer workshops in movement, clowning, or screen acting, but few offer dedicated support and learning for aspiring directors or theatre-makers looking to produce their own work. I want to empower theatre makers in a difficult industry where leadership roles can feel lonely, and the skills needed to grow as a director are often gate-kept or inaccessible.
- Contemporary Theatre Directing β Explore methodologies of different leading practitioners, such as Katie Mitchell or Mike Alfreds.
- Fringe Show Masterclass β From budgeting to marketing, a practical toolkit for making your own work.
- Tailored Sessions β Custom formats for drama school students, recent graduates, and early-career directors.
My Approach
Practice-led sessions that prioritise process, collaboration, and confidence-building designed specifically for emerging artists. I see myself as an ongoing learner, with a practice thatβs always evolving through new inspiration, input, and experience. I create a space where creatives and theatre-makers can keep learning with me; progressing through the industry together, rather than in isolation.
